After 10 years of R&D and 3 patents, IDEC Therapeutic has launched Telostim, a range of dietary supplements designed to reduce the impact of oxidative stress on the body by targeting telomeres.
As we age, our DNA loses “quality”, notably through a very gradual reduction in the length of our telomeres (located at the ends of the chromosomes in our DNA). This shortening has a major impact on aging: it increases the risk of genetic loss during cell division, and can lead to cell abnormalities. Glutathione is one of the key players in slowing down this process. Telostim acts directly on glutathione stimulation.
The funds raised are intended to accelerate IDEC Therapeutic’s development.
